Dispute Resolution: Complaints, Discipline & Appeals

As part of our commitment to Safe Sport and in order to provide the best experience possible for our participants, we will be following the steps below:

Club Operations

For concerns, complaints or questions about HSC operations (i.e. programming, schedule, fees, pool time, refunds, etc.).  Please email the club president.

Coaching

For questions about your swimmer's progress, lessons plans and other items specific to your swimmer's group, contact the Lead coach for the group.

For concerns, complaints or questions about Group selections and criteria, overall group programming, swim meets, items not addressed by the lead coach and minor code of conduct issues, please contact the club head coach.

Parent Representative

For any questions or concerns not addressed by the above, or in situations where you would feel more comfortable discussing with someone other than the president or coaches, please contact the parent representative.

Formal Complaints

For more serious concerns or complaints such as code of conduct, bullying, harassment, forms of assault, inappropriate behaviour, discrimination, etc. Please review HSC-P&P-0012 and complete HSC-FORM-0007 linked below.

This process is completely confidential and complaints are reviewed by the club's impartial Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO), who is independent of the club's board and coaches.
